Do you wash the items before selling them?
Yes, the majority of my pieces are freshly cleaned before being listed. I take great care to ensure everything arrives ready to wear or display.
There are a few exceptions, such as:
- Dry clean only or delicate vintage fabrics, where washing could affect the integrity or finish of the material.
- Deadstock or unworn pieces with original tags, which are left unwashed to preserve their authenticity and value.
Even though most items are cleaned prior to shipping, I always recommend that customers wash or dry clean vintage clothing before wearing, as sensitivities and preferred care methods can vary.
Are the sizes accurate?
Vintage sizing can vary a lot between eras, brands, and countries, a labelled size 14 from the 1970s, for example, can fit very differently from a modern size of the same number.
Based on my experience working with and handling vintage clothing, I always include my recommended best fit in each description (for example, “best for a medium”).
If you’re ever unsure, please feel free to reach out for specific measurements or fit advice, I’m always happy to help.
For guidance, here’s a rough modern UK size comparison for my listings:
- XXS ≈ UK 4
- XS ≈ UK 6
- S ≈ UK 8
- M ≈ UK 10
- L ≈ UK 12
- XL ≈ UK 14
- XXL ≈ UK 16
- XXXL ≈ UK 18
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or additional shipping costs. Please check your country’s regulations before ordering.
